Aesthetic Bathroom Decor & Organization Ideas:

Do you want to have a creative bathroom that you enjoy being in?

A space that you created that supports an atmosphere of holistic wellness?

I want to assure you that anyone can create a space of holistic wellness in their bathroom. No matter the size, or if you rent! In this post Im going to go over bath decor and bathroom ideas that will help support holistic living!

Bathrooms should be considered sacred and I want you to engage positively with your bath space so that your overall home experience supports you!

I know first hand how challenging certain bathroom spaces can be. Whether you only have a pedestal sink with no storage, or you may not have space for an entire towel rack, you too can have a bathroom that you actually enjoy being in if we can implement some of the following ideas.

Currently I share a tiny bathroom space with my boyfriend so trust me I know your pain. Through my career and this experience is why I implemented a lot of these ideas into my own bath space! I can’t wait to share with you some bathroom interior creative ideas to help you out in this area.

Although it may seem like your bathroom has no hope, there is always space to think creatively and solve some of the problems that you face, no matter what you are dealing with.

By thinking outside of the box, you can create a space that brings you joy and healing instead of frustration. These bathroom organization suggestions will help you to regain some mental space.

With a bath interior that brings you joy with intentional functionality you can begin to start your day in a space that invokes holistic wellness.

If you don’t mind not having a space for your things and not loving your small bathroom interior than this post isn’t for you!

Below I have described some philosophies and functional hacks that combined have helped me to fall in love with my tiny bath space too.

Bath Bliss Tips:

Shelves?

Let’s say you are dealing with very little storage space. An area of space that often gets overlooked in a bathroom is the vertical space. I have found that utilizing shelving above my own toilet has helped me to free up some storage! In regards to these floating shelves in bathrooms, the ceiling is the only limit. An important point to make here is any time that you have objects displayed in the open you must make sure that they are intentionally chosen, which I explain further in this post how to do this!

*I also love the idea of placing a floating shelf over the doorway for some essentials liked rolled up extra towels, or toilet paper.

Art!

A really important point to focus on that can completely change the whole energy of the bathroom is artwork. I find that this gets often overlooked because people think…its a bathroom… yea well, just like every other room in the home your bathroom decor should reflect your aesthetic!

Choosing art that reflects your personality and makes you happy goes a long way into reclaiming a “dysfunctional” space for you.

*It’s important to remember that the bath often collects moisture so make sure that any artwork you use is capable of withstanding the atmospheric conditions!

Under Sink Bathroom Storage?..

Ah the elusive under the sink storage. Not all of us are blessed by this state of affairs! If you have a tiny bathroom with a pedestal sink there are some elements you can add. I think this little wood unit by ikea is pretty genius!

Sometimes the best bathroom interior organization idea is thinking outside of the box itself. If possible think about how you can store things elsewhere, you can use baskets that gather specific bath supplies that you can bring into the space when you do the activities you store within them (like nail supplies for example).

Again…make sure you keep this area tidy so these objects don’t accost your senses, seeing a theme here? Don’t worry I go over this more in depth in the next point.

Minimize!

Let’s be real sometimes even with all of the creative hacks you still feel as though all of your bath objects are falling on you from every corner. But no matter what this doesn’t have to be your reality. *I do this in every area of my home not just the bath* A la Marie Kondo herself… take every single thing out of whatever bath storage that you have. Sit with all of your stuff and feel the weight of it all. In all honesty with yourself, what do you actually use, what do you actually like to use, and what do you like having because its actually special to you? If anythingggg in this huge pile you made doesn’t pass through one to all three of these gates, it doesn’t belong in your space or in your consciousness. Implementing this one minimal bathroom idea has a great chance of changing how you feel about your space. If you wish to reclaim your space for your energy you must do this!

Wall Mount Hooks?

Let’s say you really don’t have any closed storage, space for shelving, or a separate linen closet for items like towels. Decorative hooks can save your life. Use long ones to hang towels where convenient for you. Also think about using smaller hooks. I use little ones to hang some of my bath care items in the shower. Again like the shelves these should be items that you love to look at on a very regular basis. This is a creative bathroom interior idea anyone can implement.

Ritual!!

Along the same lines of intentionality the bath space is an important place for self care and holistic purpose. Ritual, to me, is any activity that you engage with that brings you positive energy. In the bath environment It could be as simple as:

-Lighting candles

- Playing music when you paint your nails

-Scrubbing yourself with a brush in the shower and then putting a good smelling body oil on

-Watering the potted plants on your shelf

There are countless things that you could ritualize for yourself, just make sure it brings you peace and creates a sense of engaging with your deeper self.

One of my personal favorite bath rituals is taking a bath with help from my bath board. My bath board makes my tiny bathroom a sanctuary for me. Throwing in some bath salt, rose absolute, lighting a candle, reading a book in the bath is a beautiful way to connect back to myself.

Color!

How do you want to feel in here! How do you identify your own personality? A lot like the art that you choose to display, the colors of items in your bath space can support who you are energetically and help you to bring about feelings that you are looking to bring about in your environment.

I have a more in depth post on how to discover what colors resonate with you and what they may mean for you here.

Intention!

This goes for everything. Just like you engaging with minimizing the objects that you engage with, when you put any object back into the bath environment it should speak to you. Now I know this sounds woo woo, but I cannot stress enough the importance of you looking at and touching objects that actually make you happy.

This also goes for how you spatially engage with your bath decor in your environment. Think about storing things in places that make it easy and fun for you to go about your activities in here.

An example of this in my own bathroom is I have a hanging brass wall lassi cup that holds our toothbrushes. And the shelf above my toilet has a stone box I keep my re-usable face rounds in with a glass spray bottle of micellar water I use for makeup removal. These things are layered in next to my favorite vintage bottle and a painting of my favorite place hung above it.

Intentionality obviously will look different for every individual, when doing this group things together that support activities, and make it beautiful for you!

Through any of your work in your own personal environment, always remember that,

Our intention crafts our reality
